Welcome to the Scottish Dancing in Stockholm
No one who has come into contact with Scottish dancing, Scottish Country Dancing, usually manages to avoid being inspired by the fantastic feeling and rhythm in jigs, reels, hornpipes, or strathspeys.
It is therefore not surprising that Scottish Country Dancing today exists in local branches all over the world, organized by the Scottish main organization, The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. In Stockholm, Scottish dancing has been present since the 1960s and since the mid-1970s as a separate local branch.
Stockholm Branch dances both advanced dancers and those at the "intermediate" level together. Our experienced teachers are trained by the Scottish main organization, and we also organize separate courses for beginners.

Did you know that: Dancing is part of the Scottish cultural heritage, and since 1923, The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society has worked to spread it worldwide.
Scottish Country Dancing is a dance form that is danced by everyone, regardless of age or gender, and every day in almost every country, there is an opportunity to dance Scottish dance.
There are a total of 160 local branches and over 200 affiliated groups.

Spring 2026
We have now made some progress with the spring term, which so far has been concentrated at Kulturama in Sundbyberg. However, because the school will need the auditorium for another activity, we will not be able to stay there after April 6th and will be changing location.
The board is working hard on this, and more information will be provided both here and on our Facebook page.
Term Fee
The term fee for the spring term is, as before, 700 SEK (350 SEK for students) for everyone, and there will be about 18 sessions. Please note that you may be able to receive a wellness allowance from your employer for the entire term fee.
To get a certificate, after you have paid, send an email to treasurer@rscds-stockholm.se and request it. The term fee can be paid via Swish 123 352 14 32 or to Plusgiro 80 64 12 - 3.
Please keep an eye on our Facebook page. Go to "Dance Scottish - Stockholm Branch of RSCDS".
Until April 6th, we will be dancing in the Aula at Kulturama Sundbyberg, Lötsjövägen 10 - 12, 174 52 Sundbyberg.
The best way to get to our premises is by taking the subway, blue line 11 towards Akalla. Get off at Hallonbergen and take the exit towards Lötsjövägen. You will then come out into a small shopping center and take the escalator up to street level.
Then walk straight ahead towards the exit marked Lötsjövägen and outside the doors, turn left onto Lötsjövägen for about 100 meters, and you will see Kulturama School on the other side of the street.
The doors are locked, but we will have someone on duty from 5:45 PM. If you arrive late, there will be a phone number available to call to be let in.

If you want to use the map, note that the map database does not have the exit directly onto Lötsjövägen marked, but suggests that you should go out through the main entrance and walk around the building, which is not necessary.
There are good parking opportunities if you come by car, where you can park on Lötsjövägen. Note that there are two different parking areas if you park along the street closest to the subway exit or under the canopies on the other side.
